Applications for the 2013 Junior Standing Team

The team consists of approximately 12 men and 12 women committed to training at a high level for the sport of orienteering. All Standing Team members will be considered potential members of the Junior Teams, representing the USA at international competitions, wearing the Team USA uniform.

Standing Team members will be coached by the U.S. Team Coach, Erin Schirm, have a local mentor, and participate in training camps. Team members will receive the benefits of any sponsors supporting the Team, and have priority for OUSA travel grants. Team members will have a voice in how the team is run.

In 2013, selection of competitors for the JWOC Team will be based on the rankings and petition criteria publicized in 2012. You do not have to be on the Standing Team to be selected for the 2013 JWOC Team; however, the purpose of the Standing Team is to not just prepare U.S. athletes for JWOC, but also for WOC.
